I wrote a song for my wife for Christmas and finally had it cut to vinyl. There's only one copy and it stays by our record player. This vinyl is a reminder of intention as we take time to listen to it. I chose vinyl as a medium because it's a direct connection of music and emotion, it's a physical thing we can share that bridges the two. Medium is important when we create and put our voice into the world. As we increase our relationship with technology, our need for genuine connection always remains. Medium and intention elevates content and creativity. When you make something, whether your audience is one person or a thousand, make something that's special for them, something that connects.
This week we're looking at ways people create content that's uniquely theirs. We'll be featuring an interview with LEGO photographer, James Garcia. His playful medium creates an immersive world in it's own right. His impressive body of work not only showcases his strong storytelling, his love for his medium is also infectious and draws you right in.
