The rain came down and the music went on. Our first Seesaw Session was a beautiful one.
Last Thursday night was a special night, and it was one of the rainiest. Tucked inside the warm interior of Seesaw Cafe, Michael Legere stood in front of an intimate audience who braved the downpour and played a compelling acoustic set with nothing but his guitar and voice. His voice rang throughout the space accompanied by the symphony of cars rushing through the rain.
Two days before the show, Michael released a new song, "The Sudden Downpour" that almost felt like a premonition evening of the performance. The song itself is a raw testament to finding solace within struggle. Listen below.
This was the first Seesaw Session in collaboration with Seesaw Cafe and it was a memorable one. I'd like to thank Seesaw Cafe's owner, Katie Reed, Ian MacKaye for the PA, Michael for the beautiful music, and to everyone who came in spite of the rain.
Seesaw Sessions will happen on the last Thursday of every month and I'm excited to announce that Sonja Seiler will be performing on Thursday, May 25. Stay tuned for details.
